About the Conference

The Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, Bayero University Kano, will host its 5th International Conference and Doctoral Colloquium from Tuesday, 3rd to Thursday, 5th November, 2026, at the CBN Centre of Excellence, New Campus, Bayero University, Kano. The conference is themed "Sustainable Governance and the Green Economy: Strategies for Addressing Insecurity and Promoting Inclusive Development in Africa," and will bring together researchers, academics, doctoral candidates, and practitioners to explore pathways toward sustainable governance and inclusive growth across Africa.

Call for Papers

We invite submissions across twenty sub-themes covering accounting and governance, business and entrepreneurship, economics and finance, and public policy and sustainability. The Early Bird Registration deadline is 31st August 2026, the Abstract Submission deadline is 30th September 2026, and the Full Paper Submission deadline is 15th October 2026, with all submissions made online via the Conference Portal. Authors of outstanding papers will be invited to submit their work for peer-reviewed publication in the Faculty's and Departmental Journals.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts: max 250 words, 3–5 keywords; indicate track and paper type (theoretical/empirical/methods/practice)
  • Full papers: 6000 words (including references), APA 7th Edition
  • Format: Times New Roman 12pt, 1.5 Line Spacing, Word Document (.docx)
  • Review process: Blind peer-review with anonymized manuscript
